What should I wear for my shoot?

There is no fixed rules on this one, but there is a few guidelines to follow.  I wrote a guide that helps many to choose what tops to bring for the shoot. You will also receive this guide after making your booking. What to wear.

Can I keep the rest of the shots that are not chosen to be edited?

Absolutely! However, retouched shots are colour corrected and blemishes are removed from them. I do not advise to use retouched and  raw shots together as the difference is very noticeable.

Can I shave half way trough the shoot?

Yes, you can do it at my studio. This is a great way of showing different looks on your headshot portfolio.

Is there anything else that I should do to prepare for the shoot?

Make sure that you get plenty of sleep so your skin looks at its best. Also, I advice not to drink alcohol at least two days before.

What if it rains?

I love this question! When shooting outdoors, we will be on a covered location if it is raining. The light is particularly soft on a rainy day and I love the results we can get. Remember that we will be also shooting inside of the studio for most part of the shoot.

Deposit?

A £50 deposit is required to confirm the shoot. You can easily pay it with any debit or credit card on the packages checkout. If you need to move your shoot, the deposit is transferable as long as a 72hrs is given.

what about makeup?

You don’t need to wear makeup specially if you normally don’t do it. If you do, keep it natural, don’t get caught up with what’s happening in fashion photography. I have written a step-by-step preparation guide on makeup. It includes a video link tutorial. You will also receive this guide after making your booking. Makeup guide

Do I need black & white shots as well?

B&W shots were the industry standard back on the film days. Now casting directors are able to see your hair colour, eyes, skin with colour shots on spotlight. Many agents require B&W shots to upload on their website. Also many theatre productions require these headshots for their programs. You will get both colour and B&W copies with all my packages.
